The margins are full and the paper bears an ARCHES watermark. The condition is excellent. This early figurative study displays Villon's great command of both line and shading effects. This print is not especially common.

Woodcut, 1906, Walterskirchen 3, edition 100. 12 3/4 x 8 7/8 in. Signed and numbered in blue pencil. This is a fine impression printed on thin Japan paper with full margins. The condition is fine. There is only one early impression known which is now in the Kunstmuseum, Berne. This edition of 100 was printed in 1957 by Erkerpresse, St-Gall and published by Bodensee-Verlag, Amriswil, with the blindstamp in the lower left corner. This important, early work is exemplary of Vlaminck's woodcuts during his Fauvist period.

The condition is fine apart from minor toning along the extreme top edge of the sheet. Published by Marcel Guiot, Paris, with their blind stamp in the lower right margin. This town is located in the Loire Valley.

Etching, 1896, Rief 14 (ii/II, b of e); edition 50. 13 3/4 x 9 5/8 in. Signed in the plate, lower right. Initialed in the plate, lower left. Signed in pencil. This is a superb, richly inked impression of this major work from his Jugendstil (art nouveau) period. Born in Bremen, Vogeler was a central member of the artist colony in Worpswede which he joined in 1894. In 1895, he bought a cottage there surrounded by birch trees which is most likely the one depicted in this etching. He was also active as a book illustrator and binder. He did calendar and bookplate designs as well as wallpaper creations and houshold objects. There is a related painting in the Vogeler Museum in Worpswede.

This is a fine, luminous impression with full margins. The condition is fine apart from two small spots of old hinging adhesive in the top margin, well away from the image. This dynamic prints takes on a slightly abstract feeling with the movement of the dancers throughout the dramatically lit interior. This etching relates to the painting of the same subject, in reverse, done in 1913. The Zorn Galley catalogue lists fifty impressions known of the third state and just a few of the first two states.

This is a superb, richly inked impression of this very rare print. The margins are wide and the condition is fine apart from minor soiling here and there in the margins. This is a rare second state impression with an estimate of 5-15 impressions only in the Zorn Gallery catalogue. The final state, with window panes added, states an edition of only 30-50 impressions. The plate was done in Zorn's studio in Mora.
